The Danang Sculpture Foundation is located at the Non Nuoc village in Danang City of Vietnam. This village, under the famous Marble Mountains, is renowned among both Vietnamese and foreigners for its traditional stone carving. Traditionally the village of Non Nuoc (Marble Mountains) had abundant access to marble, making it a place suitable for stone-carvers producing sculptures. Still today, more than a millennium later, stone-carving continues to be an important livelihood for some four to five thousand carvers.
Danang is a beautiful city situated in Central Vietnam near to three UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites : the ancient town of Hoi An; the old imperial capital of Hue and the Holy Sanctuary of My Son.

The Champa kingdom emerged during the 2nd century in the area around Danang. Through commercial and religious contacts with India , the Champa kingdom quickly developed a strong affinity for Indian culture, borrowing Hinduism and the Sanskrit alphabet, as well as Indian architectural and artistic tastes. For many centuries the Champa kingdom existed as an independent entity, warring constantly with the Vietnamese to the north and the Khmer to the west (although the Khmer were heavily Indianized themselves). Champa endured until the 17th century when it was absorbed by Vietnam .
About 30 km south of the Danang lies the ancient town of Hoi An. It is rich with precious cultural heritage that attracts many visitors each year. It has the only well-preserved remnants of a medieval oriental commercial hub remaining in Vietnam .
With nearly two square kilometers of captivating sites that include ancient pagodas, clan temples, old houses, assembly halls, and places of worship, Hoi An is especially beautiful at night when the streets are lit with brightly colored lanterns and visitors can feel that they have traveled back in time.
My Son lies 69 kilometers south-west of Danang. It was the Cham Dynasty capital from 4 th to 13 th century and the most important Holy Land of the Cham people. A magnificent complex of religious relics comprised of more than 70 Cham architectural works - totally breath-taking.
Hue was the imperial capital of the 13 kings of Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945). The most prominent attraction is the Citadel- a complex of the monarchic capital consisting of walls, palaces, and royal tombs. Consequently, Hue is among Vietnam 's most valued national treasure in terms of history and heritage
