Norwegian sculptor Øyvin Storbækken is currently living in Danang, Vietnam, as an artistic coordinator for a Norwegian-Vietnamese sculpture centre for local and international artists. The centre was officially opened in 2003. The centre opens an opportunity for Norwegian and Vietnamese artists, as well as artists from other countries, to share experience and knowledge in the field of stone carving which has long traditions in both two countries. Øyvin Storbækken has presented a series of his works in different exhibitions in Vietnam, and has participated in the International Sculptural Creation Campus in Hue.
