"I worked at the Danang Sculpture Project in Feb-March 2008. From a model in plaster made by me, they worked out a sculpture 3.4 times bigger, and I am happy to say that I was very pleased by the result. By showing its pictures here in Norway, I received a commission from the rural district to make the same sculpture in granite--large-- and place it on a mountain 1020 m. high. (a testamentary will!). They also wanted to make a story about the Project and get it all on television and in the newspaper".

"We are back in Norway, looking at pictures from Vietnam and feel greatful to your beautiful country and people, our trip was a great experience for all of us, something we will never forget. Vietnam has taken a great place in our heart."

"Kubein"/"Cowbone" to Melsonvika School for children. The sculptures are enlarged copies of backbone from a cow, the symbol of "MOTHER". The grey marble is in positive-shape with 0.55 m height. The white marble is a bone detail in negative shape with 1 m height.

WHY WORK AT DSC ?
"Because I start the working day with a biking trip to and into China Sea. Afterwards I eat Vietnamese breakfast. Sometimes Dong or other stone workers invite me to eat Vietnamese sandwich or soup. The day starts with a smile, because the stoneworkers always start the day with a smile. In short: The DSC-stoneworkers are professional with stone and communication. I also want to mention that they like challenges and new experiences and in that way they improve their working methods. Maybe you are their next experience with sculpture or design?"
